Conveyed by images of the legendary Far West, the Dior signature-scent draws on nature’s most beautiful, free and powerful elements.
A virtuous exchange was then established with nature and in 2020, to try and give back everything it inspires, Dior created the Sauvage Refill. The best-selling perfume in the world therefore became an icon of the House’s eco-design approach.

This year, the Sauvage vision of sustainability is accelerating; after the Eau de toilette, refills are now available for the Eau de Parfum and Parfum, and their classic 100ml bottles no longer need changing. The Sauvage approach considers the future while keeping the pleasure of the perfume intact.
In a 300ml midnight blue lacquered can, Sauvage Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and Parfum are protected from the light, and last longer.
Light and easy to use, the refill is placed head down and screwed onto the neck of the Sauvage bottle. In this quick, clean and intuitive gesture, the perfume flows and then, thanks to an integrated mechanism, stops automatically after precisely one minute, when the bottle is full, without wasting a drop.
The Sauvage refill in 100% recycled and recyclable aluminium, enables the lifecycle of the bottle to be reconsidered, from production to end recycling, in order to reduce its environmental footprint. With the refill, 60% of energy and 60% of produced greenhouse gasses are economised, as well as 62% of waste and 53% of water*.

To take sustainability even further, the Sauvage Refill Station has been created and is available in some sales points. A perfume fountain that provides refills for 100ml Sauvage Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and Parfum bottles. This fountain’s fine design conceals the details that count: midnight blue lacquered recyclable aluminium carboys, and an indestructible steel frame, all meant to last.
To extend the life of the bottle while keeping its beauty intact, polishing and engraving services are also available. This sustainable luxury experience continues with the delivery of a certificate of authenticity. Refilled and as good as new, the bottle is then placed in an elegant midnight blue fabric pouch bearing the Dior logo.

The new Sauvage refill is directly in line with the House initiatives in terms of improving the environmental footprint: choice of 20% recycled glass in the bottles, lightening and simplifying packaging, choosing FSCTM cardboard from responsible sources.
To continue to protect the environment, Dior is working to boost flower cultivation all over the world. A veritable ode to nature, Sauvage favours raw materials chosen for their rarity and also their special cultivation conditions, such as powerful and zesty Calabrian bergamot, brimming with sunshine. Partnerships have been built with local producers to ensure Dior perfumes have the most exceptional raw materials, but also to protect and encourage traditional crops and expertise.
From the bottle to the packaging and the raw materials, every detail of the design has been carefully considered to provide a sustainable luxury experience, in order to leave only beauty as a legacy.
